Blended learning is no more than a trend. (Discussion)

Blended learning, in practice, seems to be simply a nice way for the old world to cope with the new. It’s a sugar coating on what many see as a bitter pill – the fact that the dominance of the classroom is fading fast.

I think coaching over instructional is a more effective method of teaching. I’ve had teachers who were really good at instructional teachers but out of the very few, doing it on my own would have been faster.

No, I don’t think Blended Learning is a trend.

But from my limited knowledge of what “Blended Learning” is I disagree. The article on blending learning being a trend was too long to read, so I may have a misrepresentation of what its suppose to mean.

Andrew, Yes, the the article was long. However, did you find any information you could relate to? Blended learning is a mixture of online (e-learning) and face-to-face learning. Have you been in a course that combined the two?
